How should I care for my wool rug?

Wool rugs should be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove dirt and restore life to the fibers. Your trusted professional rug cleaner will insure a skilled cleaning that brings out the richness of color and softness of the wool. Washing your rug professionally is recommended every one to three years. To ensure even wear, your rug should be rotated once a year. A quality pad used under your rug helps protect it from dirt, wear and slippage.

Rugs made of natural materials such as sisal, jute and coir should not be cleaned with water. The mositure will ruin the rug's natural fibers. Instead, vacuum often, and spot clean with a damp white cloth. If the entire rug needs cleaning, call a professional carpet cleaner.

How should I care for my sisal rug?

As with all natural fibre floor coverings, regular vacuuming of the sisal rug surface is important. Blot spills immediately with a clean towel and continue to blot until most of the liquid is removed. Complete the drying process with a hair dryer or a commercial product designed to absorb moisture. Never steam clean or wet shampoo your sisal rug.
